Program
I offer a program designed for each stage of development and strive to meet your child’s milestones; including: art and art appreciation, music – jazz, and classical – which are combined with dance and movement.
I have a home area where your child will learn coping mechanisms, vocabulary and how to actually cook their lunch for the day!
Provided the weather is good, we are outside twice a day and may go on a “field trip” (a short walk around the neighbourhood). We have a quiet area for books and perhaps just to be alone with our thoughts. Cognitive table toys’-math-number concepts, seriation, vocabulary and learning to share.
Because we have a science based curriculum, we look to grow our own food and chart our observations. We’ll look at our environment and how we impact it; and what we can do to help. We’ll raise Monarchs in the spring and watch them grow from egg to adult. We’ll look at our bodies and how they work-our brains, lungs, muscles and everything in between will be looked at; eventually, your child will be telling you how our bodies work.
Dunne Childcare and what we do are the building blocks of the Jr. and Sr. Kindergarten programs.
